What a beautiful area!

We arrived to Williamsport today at about 4 pm.  As we entered into town on the right was the Little League Museum and the Stadiums…So easy!

But, tomorrow and Sunday won’t be so easy as either the weather (Irene) or the crowds will test our wits!

But, we had to check into the hotel first before we could come back to explore a little.

Before we were kicked off the field at Lamade I was able to take some pretty cool pictures…

This field is just the same as all of ours the only difference is the green grass and all the seats!

It looks much bigger on TV!

But the game of the day was between Pennslvania and Kansas.  Record Little League crowd at Lamade stadium in Williamsport of over 41,000 people.  This is more than most major league baseball games!

Kansas beat Pennsylvania 1-0 and will play our West team from Huntington Beach this Sunday, DON’T MISS THIS ONE…

 Little LeagueWorld Series Emblem

This is my first “post” on this blog and it is already late at night with only 3 days to go before our trip to DC and then to the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pennsylvania for the final 2 days of action.

I guess my motivation for this blog is to spread the word about Little League Baseball to all of those interested in playing this great perfect game!

Since I was fortunate enough to get tickets from our Little League District 65 Administrator, Paula Lyon, and I am maybe the only one from this area to ever go to this event I felt somewhat of an obligation to spread the word.  Well, maybe that and the fact that I want to encourage the young players and families out there to continue playing this sport as it has meant so much to me and my family!

I will try and post some pictures and a few words about the players and teams as I go….
